Das franz\u00f6sische Antarktisgebiet besteht aus der Insel Amsterdam, den Crozet-Inseln, dem Kerguelen-Archipel, der Insel Sankt Paul, dem Adelie-Land sowie aus der tropischen Insel Eparses.<\/p>\n

Die Inseln liegen \u00fcberwiegend im Indischen Ozean s\u00fcd\u00f6stlich von R\u00e9union, weit weg vom afrikanischen Festland.<\/p>\n

Frankreich besitzt das kleinste der sieben antarktischen Territorien.<\/p>\n

In den Wintermonaten leben auf den franz\u00f6sischen Antarktisgebieten ungef\u00e4hr 220 Forscher, die offizielle Amtssprache ist Franz\u00f6sisch und als Zahlungsmittel wird der Euro benutzt.<\/p>\n

Die Inseln sind gr\u00f6\u00dftenteils vulkanischen Ursprungs und haben keine permanenten Einwohner.<\/p>\n

Bisher war ich noch nicht auf dem Gebiet der franz\u00f6sischen Antarktis.<\/p>\n

Ein Besuch dorthin ist nicht geplant.<\/p>\n
