        "rendered": "<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"290\" height=\"174\" class=\"wp-image-11930\" src=\"https:\/\/www.svenlucaworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/word-image-46.jpeg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Die Azoren sind eine Inselgruppe im Atlantischen Ozean, bestehend aus neun gr\u00f6\u00dferen und einigen kleineren unbewohnten Inseln, rund 1.400 Kilometer entfernt vom europ\u00e4ischen Festland.<\/p>\n<p>Die Azoren haben etwa 260.000 Einwohner und geh\u00f6ren politisch zu Portugal.<\/p>\n<p>Die einzige offizielle Amtssprache auf den Inseln ist Portugiesisch und als Zahlungsmittel benutzt man dort den Euro.<\/p>\n<p>Zu den gr\u00f6\u00dferen Inseln geh\u00f6ren Sao Miguel, Santa Maria, Faial, Pico, Sao Jorge, Graciosa, Terceira, Flores sowie Corvo.<\/p>\n<p>Auf der vorwiegend vulkanischen Inselgruppe herrscht ein subtropisches Klima, die h\u00f6chste Erhebung ist der Vulkan Pico mit 2.351 Metern. Die Azoren sind weltbekannt f\u00fcr eine enorme Pflanzenvielfalt, darunter fast 80 endemische Arten, die nur dort vorkommen.<\/p>\n<p>Zu den gr\u00f6\u00dften St\u00e4dten auf den Azoren geh\u00f6ren Ponta Delgada, Horta, Angra do Heroismo, Madalena, Lagoa, Vila Franca do Campo, Vila do Porto, Ribeira Grande, Praia de Vitoria sowie Povoacao.<\/p>\n<p>Zu den bedeutendsten Exportprodukten der Inseln z\u00e4hlen Rindfleisch, Wein, Milchprodukte sowie Tee. Eine weitere wichtige Rolle f\u00fcr die heimische Wirtschaft, nimmt der Tourismus ein.<\/p>\n<p>Im Juli 2017 bereiste ich die wundersch\u00f6nen Azoren das bisher einzige Mal. Ich erreichte die Hauptinsel Sao Miguel nach einem rund dreist\u00fcndigen Flug von Lissabon, mit der portugiesischen Fluggesellschaft TAP.<\/p>\n<p>Untergebracht war ich dort f\u00fcr zwei N\u00e4chte in einer sehr gem\u00fctlichen Herberge, unweit des Stadtzentrums. Mit diesem g\u00fcnstigen Preis von nur 15,- Euro pro Nacht und einem einmaligen Ambiente, war es auf allen meinen Reisen durch die weite Welt, die bisher beste Billigunterkunft \u00fcberhaupt.<\/p>\n<p>Die Hauptstadt Ponta Delgada ist eine sehr sch\u00f6ne und gem\u00fctliche Stadt. Es war ziemlich einfach, die gesamte Stadt unmittelbar nach meiner Ankunft zu Fu\u00df erkunden.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00fcr den zweiten Tag buchte ich eine mehrst\u00fcndige Inselrundfahrt. In einem offenen Kleinbus konnte ich dabei die ausgesprochene Sch\u00f6nheit der Azoren bewundern. Die zahlreichen verschiedenen und bunten Pflanzenarten machen die Atlantikinsel so einzigartig. So in diesem Ausma\u00df, habe ich das vorher noch nirgendwo anders auf der Welt gesehen.<\/p>\n<p>Die preiswerte Rundfahrt und der vorherrschende Sonnenschein, bei angenehmen 22 Grad Celsius, waren echt klasse. Zus\u00e4tzlich wehte noch permanent ein leichter Wind, was ja f\u00fcr die Azoren absolut \u00fcblich ist.<\/p>\n<p>Nach einem tollen dreit\u00e4gigen Aufenthalt auf dieser beeindruckenden und einmaligen Atlantikinsel, setzte ich meine Reise zu einer weiteren portugiesischen Insel, nach Madeira fort.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"gdgallery-gallery-container\" id=\"gdgallery-container-198\"
