Das Territorium Riu Muni ist der Teil des Staates \u00c4quatorialguinea, der sich auf dem afrikanischen Festland befindet, w\u00e4hrend die Hauptstadt des Landes auf der rund 250 Kilometer entfernten Insel Bioko liegt.<\/p>\n<p>Der von der Fl\u00e4che her rund dreizehn Mal gr\u00f6\u00dfere Teil Riu Muni, befindet sich in der Region Niederguinea und hat etwa 1,3 Millionen Einwohner.<\/p>\n<p>Mbini grenzt im S\u00fcden und Osten an Gabun, im Norden an Kamerun sowie im Westen an den Golf von Guinea im Atlantischen Ozean.<\/p>\n<p>Das Gebiet Riu Muni liegt knapp n\u00f6rdlich des \u00c4quators, daher herrscht dort ein ganzj\u00e4hrig tropisches Klima.<\/p>\n<p>Die Landesfl\u00e4che ist vorwiegend bergig mit lediglich einem kleinen 15 Kilometer breiten K\u00fcstenstreifen. Vor der Landesfl\u00e4che Riu Munis befinden sich erhebliche Vorkommen an Erd\u00f6l und Erdgas, die in den n\u00e4chsten Jahren gef\u00f6rdert werden sollen.<\/p>\n<p>Die gr\u00f6\u00dfte und wichtigste Stadt im Territorium Mbini, ist Bata mit etwa 600.000 Einwohnern. Bata ist das wirtschaftliche und kulturelle Zentrum auf dem Festland des Staates \u00c4quatorialguinea.<\/p>\n<p>Im August 2017 bereiste ich die Stadt Bata in Riu Muni, f\u00fcr einen eher recht kurzen Aufenthalt. Auf dem Weg von Douala in Kamerun, musste ich bei einem sechsst\u00fcndigen Aufenthalt in Bata umsteigen, um anschlie\u00dfend auf die Insel Bioko zu gelangen.<\/p>\n<p>Diese kurze Zeit nutzte ich nat\u00fcrlich, um schnell die Hauptstadt des Festlandes zu besuchen und um einige Fotos zu machen. Die Stadt Bata war grunds\u00e4tzlich sehr sauber und viel angenehmer als vorher gedacht.<\/p>\n<p>Meine beiden Fl\u00fcge f\u00fchrte ich mit der einheimischen Fluggesellschaft \u201eCEIBA-International\u201c durch, die fast in jedem Land weltweit auf der \u201eSchwarzen Liste\u201c steht. Trotz eines anfangs etwas mulmigen Gef\u00fchls und dem super alten Flugzeug, lief doch am Ende alles glatt und ich war irgendwie heilfroh, die Fl\u00fcge ohne gr\u00f6\u00dfere Komplikationen
