I have now visited England and its capital London several times. The biggest event was the Champions League final at Wembley in 2013, where FC Bayern Munich won the title.<\/p>\n

I always have fond memories of England, after all I lived there for a year on the north-east coast in Newcastle. To this day, this city still has the best nightlife I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. The weekends are literally celebrated by hundreds of thousands of students all over the city.<\/p>\n

England, the home of Shakespeare and the Beatles, is the largest part of the country in the entire United Kingdom. At the same time, with around 55 million inhabitants, it is also the region with the highest population density on the entire island of Great Britain. England borders Scotland to the north and Wales to the west.<\/p>\n

The area of England is divided into 39 historic counties and is one of the most regulated economies in the world. The country's official currency is the pound sterling, which is considered one of the most important convertible currencies in the world after the US dollar and the euro. In addition to London, the six major cities with over 500,000 inhabitants include Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield, Bradford and Manchester. Other larger cities in England are Newcastle, Stoke, Nottingham, Portsmouth, Bristol, Leicester and Coventry.<\/p>\n

The capital and third largest city in Europe is London, with a population of around 9.5 million people. The metropolis has London Heathrow, the largest airport in Europe, which is also one of the largest and most important airports in the world in terms of international passenger numbers.<\/p>\n

London, located on the River Thames, is well known for its variety of parks. The city has several, some of them luxurious, facilities on more than two hundred square kilometers to offer the local population or visitors. The most famous park in London is certainly Hyde Park.<\/p>\n

The two most popular sports in England are football and rugby. There are 13 professional football and 6 rugby clubs in London. England's national stadium is the famous Wembley Stadium, which, with a capacity of 90,000 spectators, is one of the largest stadiums on the European continent.<\/p>\n

There are countless tourist attractions in London, the most important are, among others, Trafalgar Square in the center of the city, Downing Street as the official residence and residence of the Prime Minister, Piccadilly Circus, Tower Bridge over the Thames, the Palace of Westminster, Buckingham Palace, St. Paul's Cathedral, Kensington Palace, London Bridge, Westminster Abbey, London Eye, National Gallery, British Museum, Hyde Park, Borough Market, Tower of London, Sky Garden , Camden Market, the London Metro and Big Ben.<\/p>\n

The huge metropolis of London is a multicultural city and can hardly be beaten in terms of variety. There is plenty for tourists to explore in one of Europe's most visited cities and is definitely worth a visit at any time.<\/p>\n\n
