The Kingdom of Thailand is a country in Southeast Asia with around 70 million inhabitants. The country borders Myanmar to the west and north, Laos to the northeast and east, Cambodia to the southeast and Malaysia to the south.

The Southeast Asian country has a tropical climate all year round, with almost constant temperatures.

The territory of Thailand consists largely of tropical rainforest and is home to numerous mammals, such as elephants, tigers, deer, leopards, wild boars, water buffalo, tapirs, rhinos, gibbons and other different species of monkeys. Thailand's most important export goods are various machines, vehicles or vehicle parts, electronics and electrical engineering, fishing products, cane sugar and rubber - Thailand is the world's largest rubber exporter. Agricultural products such as pineapple, corn, cassava and soybeans are also exported.

Thailand is a main destination for international tourism and therefore an important source of income for the Thai national budget. The country now has almost 25 million annual visitors, who mainly visit historical sites such as the city of Bangkok or popular seaside resorts such as the island of Phuket, Pattaya, the island of Ko Samui or Krabi. Thailand is also known for its widespread sex tourism and lavish moonlight parties.

The most important sights in Bangkok include the Grand Palace, the Baiyoke Tower II, the Wat Pho - Temple of the Reclining Buddha, the Wat Phra Kaeo - Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the National Gallery, the National Museum, the Jim Thompson House, the National Library , Wat Arun - Temple of Dawn, Wat Traimit - Temple of the Golden Buddha, Marble Temple, Chitralada Palace, Wat Saket - Temple of the Golden Mountain, Iron Palace, Vimanmek Palace, the canals of Bangkok, the Victory Monument, Lumphini Park, the Zoo, the Skytrain, Khao San Road, Ancient City, Wat Pak Nam and numerous other smaller temples.

Thailand is also my number 1 travel destination and I have visited this beautiful part of Southeast Asia about 25 to 30 times. This country has everything you could imagine from a perfect holiday destination. There are optimal weather conditions there, fantastic landscapes, numerous white dream beaches, massage parlors on every corner, many interesting Buddhist temple complexes, countless different restaurants, discos or bars, and all of this at very affordable prices. All in all, this is also the reason why Thailand is by far my most visited travel country in the world.

Of course, I have traveled to the capital Bangkok several times and used it as a starting point for possible onward journeys to Jomtien, Bang Saray, Sattahip or Pattaya. But even more often, my actual destination was the island of Phuket. This breathtaking and beautiful island, connected to the mainland by a bridge, is a scenic dream, with fantastic beaches and a nightlife that is unrivaled anywhere in the world.

If you haven't been to Thailand yet, you should definitely do so and think carefully about your next holiday destination. This is the recommendation of one of the most traveled people in the world.
