The French Antarctic Territory consists of the island of Amsterdam, the Crozet Islands, the Kerguelen Archipelago, the island of Saint Paul, Adelie Land and the tropical island of Eparses.

The islands are located mainly in the Indian Ocean southeast of Réunion, far from the African mainland.

France has the smallest of the seven Antarctic territories.

During the winter months, approximately 220 researchers live in the French Antarctic territories, the official language is French and the euro is used as currency.

The islands are mostly of volcanic origin and have no permanent inhabitants.

I have not yet been to the territory of French Antarctica.

A visit there is not planned.
